KSHATRIYA GHANCHI SAMAJ HISTORY

The Ganchi caste has originated from the Kshatriya caste, so the Ganchi community is also known as Kshatriya Ganchi community. There is a historical story behind this that every night fairies from heaven used to steal flowers from the Navalakha garden of King Jaisingh Siddharaj Solanki of Patan. On this, the Pandits advised that the brinjal plant is considered impure in heaven, so if a brinjal plant is planted near the flowers, the fairies will not be able to steal the flowers.
